At Raidighi College, apart from our regular classroom teaching and interaction with the students in general, we keep a watch on individual student’s academic, research, professional and personal goals, as closely as possible. Of course, as opposed to the professional, time-bound relationship, a mentoring relationship is a very personal one, and requires proper supervision and follow-up.

If on an ideal schedule, classes of six batches are running in a department (3 honours semester, and 3 general semesters), each faculty member of the department attends either a batch or a group of students within a batch, whichever is more nuclear than the other, based on the faculty-strength. Outside his/ her scheduled lectures and assignments, a teacher involves himself/ herself in the mentoring activity. From helping the students with their individual academic/ career-oriented queries to offering them emotional and mental support in trying times, we try to make the sessions count for the growth of the mentees.
